In today's fast-paced and interconnected world, securing your supply chain has never been more vital. At TydenBrooks, we understand the multifaceted challenges that companies face when it comes to safeguarding their goods in transit. From the manufacturing floor to the final destination, there are several critical touchpoints in your supply chain that require meticulous attention to security. In this comprehensive guide, we will take you through five key locations within your supply chain where security is paramount.

Manufacturing and Warehouse

The journey of your goods commences in the manufacturing or warehousing facilities, where they await pick-up for transportation to their final destination. While most warehouses and 3PL partners employ physical security measures such as cameras and alarm systems, it is crucial to fortify this with our state-of-the-art security seals.

TydenBrooks offers an array of tamper-evident solutions, including padlocks and plastic seals that provide a visual indicator of tampering. Our plastic pull-tight seals, such as the SecurePull 342mm, SecureGrip 11", SecureTite, Tug Tight, and Gemini Seal, along with our tamper-evident tapes and labels, can be strategically applied to totes, containers, drums, sacks, and fiber cartons, effectively deterring and detecting theft, pilferage, and tampering.

Cargo Pick-Up

When your cargo is picked up or loaded, it is essential to ensure the integrity of the barrier and plastic seals, including tamper-evident tapes and labels.

The security of your shipment hinges on the visual confirmation of no tampering before loading. Prior to departure, high-security seals, boasting laser

markings such as 1D, 2D, and QR Bar Codes, should be affixed to the shipment.

This information is then meticulously documented on the Bill of Lading or scanned into your system, creating a fool-proof record of the seal application.

These unique markings make it nearly impossible for counterfeit seals to infiltrate your supply chain. To further enhance security, security labels can be

applied to seal the corners of truck door hinges, ensuring that the shipment remains undisturbed along its journey.

Transportation

As your goods hit the open road, the cumulative security measures you've implemented come together to form a robust

multi-layered security strategy. TydenBrooks' plastic seals, tamper-evident tapes, and labels provide immediate visual evidence of

any unauthorized access or potential pilferage. High-security bolt and cable seals, such as the Snaptracker, Intermodal II, FlexSecure

FS35, and EZ Loc, used on container and truck doors, act as strong deterrents to intrusion, especially during stops. It is well-established that cargo

is most vulnerable when the truck or train halts. These measures, combined with the vigilance of the driver, create a formidable shield for your shipment during transport.

Drop Off and Storage

Upon arrival at the drop-off point, it is imperative that both the driver and receiver meticulously inspect all

documentation and the physical integrity of the barrier and plastic seals. Security seals with laser markings, such as

1D, 2D, QR bar codes, should be scanned into a database to keep track of inventory and ensure that all security seal markings

and serial numbers match those applied at the loading site. The receiving party should have the necessary removal tools for cable and bolt seals.

Once these high-security barrier seals are removed, a thorough inspection of the cargo for any signs of tampering should be conducted.

Here, the same facility and warehouse security measures we discussed earlier should be diligently applied to maintain goods' security until they are sold or sent on another journey.

End of the Road

From inception to conclusion, the process of securing your supply chain with multi-layered security strategies

is nothing short of pivotal. Without these measures, your supply chain remains vulnerable, and the consequences

can be financially and reputationally disastrous. A well-executed security strategy, coupled with meticulous attention

to detail, ensures that your supply chain remains robust and impervious to threats.
